Dayaker
Maa Sharda Hospital
28-year old, Dayaker*, came to the ICU at Maa Sharda Hospital at 2 am, gasping for breath and undergoing respiratory failure.
Having been poisoned, he went into arrest within minutes of entering the ER.
The team worked for hours to stabilize him. He stayed in the ICU for 10 days before being discharged.
Our fundraising efforts prevented him from succumbing to the poisoning and destroying the lives of his loved ones.
Tribal resident of Routhalapudi
Rangaraya Hospital
A tribal resident of Routhalapudi delivered twins in Aug 2024 at Rangaraya Hospital – a boy who was still-born and a girl with birth weight of 900 gms.
The girl baby had RDS for which surfactant was given and put on mechanical Drager ventilator donated by SBI through CHD group.
Baby required invasive ventilation support in the NICU for 2 days and was put on noninvasive PPV on the same ventilator for 5 days. Currently, baby is thriving well by receiving KMC care from her mother.
Our fundraising efforts saved this baby’s life within hours of her birth and prevented her from developing further complications.
Premature Girl baby
Samarpan Children's Hospital
Girl baby born at 28 weeks (extremely premature) was referred to Samarpan Children's Hospital, Omerga in Apr 2024. She had severe respiratory distress at birth and required immediate respiratory support.
She faced multiple problems that required 3 days of ventilation to CPAP, High Flow respiratory support, treatment for acute limb ischemia, gram negative bacteremia and fungal sepsis. She needed intravenous antibiotics and antifungal for the infections, and HFNC-AIRVO2 for bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD).
She was ultimately discharged after 78 days in hospital with a healthy weight gain.
This fragile baby girl was able to go home fully treated due to trust her parents had on the medical team and the high-end NICU equipment donated by CPR.
Ananthaiah
Maa Sharda Hospital
Ananthaiah came to the ICU at Maa Sharda Hospital with both his kidneys swelling up. With the risk of permanent damage and kidney failure imminent, the doctors jumped into action to
provide life saving interventions.
In a first of its kind in the region, dialysis was administered in an emergency situation.
He went home after 12 days, keeping his family’s hopes alive.
Our fundraising efforts saved his life and prevented him from a debilitating condition that would have left him poverty stricken for decades to come.
Srinivas
Maa Sharda Hospital
17-year old Srinivas was abandoned after suffering from organophosphorus poisoning. In unconscious and critical condition, he was brought to the ICU at Maa Sharda Hospital.
He received free treatment for weeks using ICU equipment and with the dedicated care of doctors and nurses, he regained hope and health, going home after 40 days in the ICU.
Our fundraising efforts gave him a second chance at life and saved his family from inconsolable loss.
